My passion is to design effective and resilient education that stands the test of time. It is with this vision that I founded our Studio - STUDIOBLENDED. My signature is that I love to create quality products, am inventive within limitations, a pragmatic idealist, a pedagogue and a strategic thinker who believes in agile teamwork.
As a qualified senior advisor I advise course and degree coordinators on curriculum design and content development. I am passionate about teachers, teaching - and simplicity. The Studio is Europe-oriented and actively engages with European initiatives.
I am an experienced educational professional, with a Master of Arts degree (MAEd) in International and Bilingual Education and Teaching, complemented with state-of-the-art trainings in blended and remote education set up. Alongside my academic work I have performed well as a project lead, with an ongoing demonstrated history in program management, leading agile teams and delivering high quality outcomes. Being an entrepreneur demands that I am financially and administratively fluent – and able to work systematically in any given set up. I am a flexible professional with strong intercultural communication and interpersonal skills both in a remote and face to face context.
“The cutting edge of our Studio, is time-resilient design. I have always found inspiration in landscape photography, where great artist photographers such as Edward Brutynsky highlight just how often we look at the world with a 35 mm lens, and show us, what happens when we take a step back, and take the long-view. My academic work in the field of land has invigorated me to realise just how we can use time for us, design education for the long run, how in reality academic fields don’t move that fast. I became passionate about realising curriculum design that is smart within the lifespan of the working life of a teacher. Surely my robust background in Anthropology and the study of paradigms and subsequent generations, as well as European work on hype cycles in technical fields, has shaped my now decade strong methodology for time resilient curriculum design.”
Utrecht University 2007. Masters Degree (MAEd) Bilingual and International Teaching.
Utrecht University (2000 - 2006). Anthropology and Sociology of Non-Western Countries (MSc with distinction, thesis of the year). Specialisation: Poverty, Informality and Social Exclusion
Focus on macro politics and economics, democratisation, citizenship, Central and Latin America.
STUDIOBLENDED actively engages with European initiatives, programmes and funding (in recent years Erasmus+, European Research Council, New European Bauhaus and more).
