“An environment where teachers are encouraged to engage in interdisciplinary education is lacking in the South and it is also related to infrastructure – part of Europe is looking for innovation in teaching, and at the same time struggling to find a physical space that would enable it. When a university building is almost ancient, they are not fit for contemporary teaching. It causes clashes with European programs won – such as Erasmus +, where innovation in teaching methods is an integral part of the call. The physical space has a huge impact on the way horizontal learning is made possible, is activated. We’re seeing a classic classroom – the frontal seat, the desk, and rows of seats behind it. It seems that, in the messy middle, the art of the imagination, becomes essential.”Transcript from our PAR in the event in the Conference on the Future of Europe.
