We bridge silo’s between your (urban, climate, architecture) content and its pedagogy, and the body of knowledge and practice of effective curriculum design.

Our philosophy and methodology for resilient curricula is unique. Like the plantcell reflected in our graphic logo, we see technical (your design) and human resilience (your own health and wellbeing) as intertwined.

TECHNICAL RESILIENCE

Human resilience, takes the human perspective of you, as a teacher and integrates it in the curriculum - by design. Human resilience, like technical resilience, is the groundwork for good education.

We see technical and human resilience as intertwined. Technique is key to effective teaching. And, you can equally design a curriculum that is suitable for the human pace, in step with yourself and others. You can design for true enjoyment of your own teaching.

FINANCIAL HEALTH AND RESILIENCE BY (RE-)DESIGN STUDIO

What is an affordable price for your course, for your envisioned participants? How can you be both financially healthy over time (we take 10 years as a horizon), and offer really good education? How can you transition from a situation where perhaps you received funding for the course or degree, but now it ends, and you would like to see continuation?

We take time and frustration out of your hands, and make the entire strategic design for you, including (essential) financial modelling, and an implementation plan.

This is about keeping your curriculum crystal clear, whilst also staying up to date with your field over time. It tackles the problem over ‘overload’ too in your curriculum.

BLENDED

At StudioBlended we deeply believe in the new value and meaning of ‘face to face’ time in teaching.

In fact, in curriculum design with clients, we actually start with the ‘face to face’ experience, and advise how to design a learning journey from there.

Rather than a dichotomy – either face to face OR remote education, the two become intertwined in a meaningful way when we look at how to optimize ‘face to face’ time with participants in your training/teaching.

BICHRONOUS

Having a bichronous option (asynchronous and synchronous) close at hand, makes you much more versitile and resilient. In times of crisis, you can always decide to go remote with your course, training or degree. 

A blended course, may also have parts that resemble remote education more. So it’s worth exploring this option.

How do you avoid a sense of deja vu, in your curriculum design?  History does not repeat itself, but some situations do resonate with the past.
Another word for that realisation, is a 'hindsight'.

Not all curriculum design is about content, surprisingly perhaps to you.  

What makes online teaching effective is also related to other design aspects, such as the nature and aspiration you and your team have for a course, and how you realise that.

The way we see it, being crystal clear on the nature of the course that you aspire, will help you stay focused on the essence of the kind of course you envisioned in the first place, whilst you deliver the course.
